Okay, I went away this weekend and sure enough I used the credit cards like it wasn't nothing. HOW CAN I STOP? Okay, I will not take them with me anywhere. And with having a new SUV and everything, and not working @ night anymore, my pay is cut like almost 300$ short because of not having night differential or sunday prem. plus paying my SUV note so I'm lik getting almost 530$ every two weeks. So, therefore, I got a good rate on balance transfers. So, you know how that goes. So, now I have to pay off all these durn credit cards. And I got out a cash advance and I wonder how you pay those back? I haven't received a bill does anyone know about that? I guess I'll have to pay 100$ a week or MORE just to get out of this ridiculous DEBT! I hate being in debt. i didn't used to be like this until Christmas time :-( Ugh!!!! So, anybody knows a plan that works because I can't get a 2nd job.....so anything will help please.

Welcome...

First thing, stop charging. (I know better said than done). Make a list of all the creditors you owe include balance, minimum payment requirement, and when payment is due. Focus on one creditor at a time. On the others, you pay the minimum. On your target debt you pay as much as you can a month. After that one is paid off, take the amount you sent them and add it to the minimum of the next target debt.

In addition, cut back on whatever you can. Cut off cable, stop renting movies, subscriptions, etc.

Good luck. Looking forward to reading your posts.

You've already been given good ideas.

I feel for you - I've been out of control too! I posted down under the compulsive spending section.

I hope you're feeling a little better today, and have formed a plan of action to help yourself. We're all here for you, so let us know how you're doing.

Thanks Lee Ann, but I'm stopping........I spent my last credit purchase on Mon. on my music that I needed for piano...but someone will have to explain to me about those durn cash advances, because I took out 200$ from it now it's saying I only have 110$ left. That's not good! But thanks for your advice. It's greatly appreciated.

Becky, I'm confused as to how to do the snowflaking board. I would love to join, but I don't know HOW to join.

It's easy - just send me an e-mail with your username, starting debt amount, monthly min, Monthly snowflake (if you have any right now) and any comments you want to add.

You can join anytime or it might be easier to wait until the end of this month and when I ask for Monthly snowflake info to be sent, do yours then, that way you will know that month's snowflake amount along with your year-to-date snowflake amount.
