Celebrity closet

I was watching a Hollywood gossip TV show this past weekend, and they were talking to some B-class celebrity about her magnificent closets and all they held. I actually got a bit grossed out because the amount of stuff she had was ridiculous, and it looked nice all arranged in the designer closet, but it was materialism at its highest. The interviewer even commented to her that so much still had the tags on them (suggesting she hasn't worn everything once yet), and she laughed and suggested that if you like something, you should buy it in all colors. Oh my. I started to wonder how much time she spent on shopping and tending her things (or worse yet, paying other people to tend to her things) and possibly missing out on other things in life. Even the interviewer seemed a bit grossed out over all this woman's stuff.

Was that a walk-in closet she had or a live-in closet????????????

Well, I know that I like stuff and that I wish I had a really nice closet, but even the amount of stuff I have now is upsetting me. And I charged a lot of it, too...............

Have a great Sunday! Littlesbigs

Great point, Littlesbigs.

I used to "ooh and ahh" when I could get a glimps into a Celebs closet. Not anymore. I think it's a crying shame that they have clothes with tags still on them, many different colors, shoes galore and we have people in this country that go without a single pair of decent shoes or even a winter coat. I think what is even sadder than that is that the Designers GIVE the Celebs alot of their garments for FREE just for wearing them.

A couple of months ago, I mentioned to my DH that I wanted "remodel" our closet and make it bigger and "organized" like I saw on TV. Since I have started to "declutter" my belongings, I actually know the closet I have is more than enough and I am very thankful for what I have. My motto now is "Less is more".
