I GIVE UP!!!!!

I felt so great this morning...I felt like I had licked some of this funk that has been over my head for a while by the whole cleaning project moving along.....Looking forward to June and making plans to kick the debt and .....Well, I'd like to say that I feel like COUSIN BERNADETTE has WON today..........How did everything go so wrong in the space of 3 hours???????????????????????

Well, let me tell you.

I had to clean so some new applinces could be put in the apartment today (that I didn't want, but that is another story for another post). I thought the house was okay and was ready for the phase 2 of my organizational plan, but then the worst thing happened....the maintenance guy for the partments came by and said that the appliances were too big to get by the computer desk, SO I HAD TO TAKE EVERYTHING APART TO MOVE IT AND IT'S ALL OVER THE LIVINGROOM NOW...more to clean to rearrange tonight when I just wanted to rest. I'm actually at the library right now because I haven't begun to put anything back together yet because I went out a while later to get the oil changed on my car.......

.....And they found a problem with the car, and so it needs REPAIRS AGAIN!!!! I paid off the last of the last car repairs LAST WEEK, and NOW I HAVE ANOTHER $1000 AGAIN....and a rental car....HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm starting ALL OVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!! I CAN'T STAND IT!!!!!!!

I just feel awful.....like Cousin Bernadette was just waiting to end the long weekend for me with a kick in the teeth.

Okay, I have to think of something to make me feel better. What if I go out for ice cream???????????????

I just can't believe it. I have to snowflake on car repairs again. I am starting all over again. I can't win.

Sorry to end on a down note.......living in the real world......Littlesbigs

Sohappily, I am CRYING laughing so hard at my desk right now!

"I even SLEEP with my mechanic and I still can't get my oil changed on time!".

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!!!!

Littles, at least those weren't compulsive spends. You were just doing what had to be done, putting one foot in front of the other, and doing the next right thing. It wasn't your fault.

The computer mess is temporary. You'll be back together before you know it.

Chin up!

Oh, man, I feel for you! I'm so sorry for all the hassle. I know how it feels to work so hard and then feel like it was all in vain.

It hasn't been in vain, though. Imagine how you'd feel if your whole house were a mess and then the computer desk bits were all over the living room on top of everything else? Now when you put the desk back together, the house will be clean again, no more hassle.

And the money--just think what it would be like if your cards were maxed out, and you had no savings, and you needed $1000 to repair your vehicle. You'd be completely SOL and desperate. Instead, yeah, it sets you back a bit, but you can manage.

Anyway, I know you feel down about it right now. I wish there were more I could do or say to help. Chin up, keep plugging, and remember that you are not your money (and you're not your house mess either--thank goodness! I'd be a wreck if my house were an accurate reflection of my value as a human being! LOL). For one thing, you are a valuable and valued member of this great board--we all look forward with enjoyment to your fire drills, and check-ins, and various other contributions that keep this board hopping in a lively manner.

Blessings,

Heather

Just another thought re: car repairs, if you don't fully trust your mechanic or think he might strongly suggest something that isn't quite necessary, you just have to ask the question:

Does my car NEED this repair RIGHT NOW?

Go down the whole itemized list, b/c it is illegal for a mechanic to respond to that question with a suggestion of his own.
