Hi guys!!
There was a post on here recently about making your own laundry detergent from several items. One was Fells Naptha soap. If anyone is familiar with this, could you please post the "recipe" and tell me where to find Naptha soap? I've looked all over and can't find it. Thanks a bunch!!!

HI Heather,
Fels Naptha bar soap is right in the bath bar soap aisle in the supermarket. It's made by Dial. The package is white with black, red and gold writing and design on it, from what I recall. It's a little thinner and longer than regular bar soap. I think it has a red and gold diamond or hourglass picture on the front, maybe with somebody's face?...
I make a big batch at once, it takes about 15 minutes start to finish. I grate the whole bar of Fels Naptha, takes about 10 minutes. Then I add a cup and a half of Arm & Hammer WASHING soda, not baking soda ;-) and a cup and a half of Borax. Shake it all up, and voila. One tablespoon per load is all it takes. It won't get really sudsy, or leave fake perfumed smell on your clothes. It will clean them, and that's what laundry detergent is supposed to do!!
You can make smaller batches by cutting the recipe into thirds - 1/3 bar Fels Naptha, 1/2 cup washing soda, 1/2 cup borax.
