Just wanted to drop in and let everyone know how things are and see how everyone else has been doing.
Things so far have been Eh. Paid off another cc, so I have 2 more cc bills to pay off and I'll be cc free. Closed a couple cc accounts too since I had "replacement" cards and they wouldn't lower their interest/waive the annual fee, so I closed them. It really ticked me off when Mastercard wouldn't drop their annual fee, I've had them since I was 18, almost 10 years.
Matt came home a few weeks ago. He'll be home for a few months and then off to Iraq. When he got home, we started looking for a new place to live cause our apt is just too small and I hate the managers anyway. We ended up renting a house, 3 bedroom, basement, garage, fenced in backyard, just a nice house, for $100 more a month than what we are paying for this little 2 bedroom apt. We have to pay all the utilities at the house and buy a lawnmower and weedeater to take care of the lawn, but none of that is a big deal. We are actually moving on Monday so I'm really excited.
Had to get the brakes on the car replaced and we went (last year) to Budget Brakes and since the brakes had a lifetime warranty, we only ended up paying $32, instead of the $100 and some it would have cost. Plus, these brakes have a lifetime warranty and if they ever need replaced, they'll do it for free.
In a month we are going back home to see family and I'm really excited about that. I need to get away from here for awhile, I'm sure everyone understands that.
I hope everyone is doing well. Off to read some posts. Have a great weekend!
