Well, not to gush, but I'm thankful for YOU Danni! Sending me that link to figure out my mortgage savings was great, but even better, was knowing that when I couldn't figure it out at first, I could turn to you and I knew you'd be there for me, to help me without making me feel inadequate. You are reliable and dependable, and smart too! All the things that make up my definition of 'friend'. You rock!

I will pick one thing to be thankful for today: my apartment. I resigned the lease today to get a cheaper rate on the rent....I found out the going rate for new residents will be $200 more!! WAY too much!!!! I like living here. I am glad I have this particular place to live. One day I may move, but for a long time to come.

I too love Bankrate~ great calculators! But that's such a good point Danni. Sometimes we get so obsessed/upset with paying bills and debt that we forget the good things in our lives.
I know when I think of all of the illnesses and disease in the world~ I thank my lucky stars my family is healthy. It's so easy to worry about money, but if I had a very sick child or husband I would give everything I owned away for a chance to save them.
When I had immense sciatica pain from a herniated disk most of last year and could hardly stand or walk ~~~it was a real wake up call of how good I had it before. Now that I'm better (crossing fingers) I appreciate WALKING !!
To quote 80's rock band Cinderella, "You don't know what you've got till it's gone...."

I'm thankful for 15 years of marriage (today!) to a wonderful man, and for 3 terrific kids, and for an excellent job working with fantastic people, for my best friends, for parents and in-laws who are still alive and living in their own homes, for my parents who are giving me my inheritance *before* they pass on so I can buy a house, for the house I'm going to own in just a couple more weeks, for beautiful late-spring weather, for sandals and pedicures and shorts, for the gift of a loss of 5 lbs, for a God who loves me. . . so many, many things!
Thanks, Danni, for inviting us to stop and be filled with gratitude and joy!

I am thankful to God, for giving me the strength each day to face any challenges.
I am thankful for my two healthy kids. I am thankful to the family who lost their child and saved mine (donating their child's liver to my DD). I am thankful for being able to build a new home in a good place to raise our kids. I am thankful for the pure breed puppy (Yorkie) we purchased yesterday. I am also thankful being able to maintain a roof over our head, clothes on our back and food on our table.
MYM
I'm thankful for soooo many things:
Summer sunshine; happy kids and cats; a wonderful husband; my car; Diet Coke (on ice!); summer flowers; fresh stuff from the garden; having the TIME to play Playstation 2 (and actually winning a game!); Harry Potter (less than 36 days to go...); getting to be a librarian and buy books as part of my job; getting to go to Oregon (and taking a side trip to Powell's Book Store! YAY!) next week; watching my kid's softball games in the evenings; having time to clean my house and follow my FLYLady routines the way I like to; high-speed internet; having a house; having my own computer...
The list could go on and on. I'm glad I took a moment to hit the highlights!
Great idea, Danni-
