We have approximately $20K. A couple of years ago, it was at $40K. Short background....my husband had an affair while I was pregnant with our twins. He charged up his credit cards.

We did therapy. I still don't trust him completely. And now I'm in charge of paying the bills.

Thanks...

I'm at 33K, not including the car, which has $9000 left, but at 0%, at least.

Since I am *just* starting to get a handle on things, I have this *sneaky* suspicion that number will go up some before it goes down. :( (Mainly because my rent is currently 50% of my monthly income....so.....having a bit of trouble making ends meet. grrr)

I just added it all up again to get a true picture as of this VERY moment (Thursday night at 11:02 P.M. CDT)

Hospital: $625.00
Credit Cards: $9807.75
Van:$1687.56
Personal Loan: $4065.00
House Mortgage: $46,990

So, our Grand Total is...

$63,175.31

I do know that I have reimbursement checks coming my way, which will drop the Credit Card Totals, but since I haven't paid it yet, I figure it goes into the final total!

Hi, everyone. Let's see: CC debt: Me: about 6,300 (one card) Car (me) 9,500; DH: about $7,000 on one; $1500 on another: $4,000 on another. DH truck: about $6,000; Mortgage: $300,000! Savings: me: after 4 yrs, about $65,000 on company plan that I put max into (no match); Emergency fund (just started): $500. (me) IRA: $1000. Started another savings plan: about $1000 on that. Found out I can save $14,000/yr on each plan. Goal: Get to half-way point on card in about 8 months. Want to pay off car first and hope to refinance. WHat a mess! Am I the only one with a huge mortgage? Sigh. Whiz.

Well, my debt... I must confess I don't keep track of it that well. Which might be stupid...

I owe close to 5k to my bank in a long-term loan, repaying 110 per months.
Then I have to pay back 3600 in federal student loans, repaying 105 per months.
And apart form that there's some money I feel I really should give back to the person who gave it to me since we broke up years ago, but I've never been able to find it in me to contact him - that would be another 1000. All figures in euros, not $.

I have no cc debt - simply because my cc is tied to my bank account and they deduct the charged amount monthly (totally different system around here, I often find)

The total of just slightly under 10k may sound not much compared to the enormous load you all have to handle. But it still is enough to sometimes make me wake up at night...

Greetings, Jordis
