I am so miserable. I woke up yesterday feeling fine and then all of a sudden had a SHARP pain in my back, low-grade fever, chills, nausea, etc. Of course these are symptoms of 100 different ailments, including kidney stones, kidney infection, and of course because of what side it is on, appendicitis. (Or who knows it could be nothing) But of course, I have an appointment in a few hours where I'm sure the tab will be pretty steep. I just want to cry. I was hoping the fever would go away (and I'd magically feel better) but of couse this is not the case. I really hope it turns out to be nothing...i really can't handle it right now. I know, such a whiner!! But we were just starting to get ahead :(

I hope it's nothing too serious.

I hope you feel better soon, too! Once you get past this you can get back on track. You know what you need to do for your health and your financial health, and you will do what you have to. Breathe. Your health is important...focus on that first. Then you can tackle the debt again.

Well, I'm out of the hospital. It turns out I have kidney stones (lots..both sides, only one is causing the pain), well, it is being a bit stubborn, too. At least I only had to stay one night, but I will have to go back for more tests on Tuesday, and again on Friday. Won't be cheap, but i do feel a lot better. The one doc wanted to keep me an extra night because my blood counts are a mess, but i managed to have it worked out so that it can be outpatient. I have plenty of sick time accrued, so this will be a setback, but hopefully not too big a setback. I feel MUCH better...the pain meds they gave me are great.
