Now that the days are longer I seem to have lots more hours of daylight to contemplate purchases.

All my best,

Oh do I hear ya on that one! :) I am in a wedding this weekend that I think I am now up to about $400 to be in it and I still have 3 more weddings this summer, thankfully I'm only a guest at those! Sheesh, everytime I turn around there is another expense!

I have been paying myself first every payday lately, so it is nice to see my savings growing. It's slowing down my debt reduction a little, but I am feeling more secure having a savings again. I know that by September I will have all CC debt paid off and I will only owe on my car, so that is making me feel a whole lot better!

Hope you are able to get your spending ideas out of your head and feel better on track with your debt reduction. I know it feels so good to not be as far in debt as you were, and it's so easy to let up on the progress. But letting up on the progress hasn't gotten you to where you are now from where you were. I know you can do it! :)

deciding to be happy doesn't mean that everything is perfect, but that you had decided to look beyond the imp

Hi, Danni! Ah, summer. As the days get longer, the temptation to spend is enormous. Bills are coming in. A whopping $600 medical bill that I will have to pay. $600+ airline tickets. $750 boarding fee for animals at vets. I tried asking people to watch them, but I had no offers from friends, as our animals can be a challenge and it would be a lot to ask people to come over daily for two weeks. $500 clothes (estimated) and $500 food (estimated). DH will probably charge some of it. I cant charge anything. Any ideas on how to cut down the animal bill? At least you have birds that arent destructive! All the best, Whiz.

Repeat after me...."Just for today, I am NOT GOING TO DEBT!!!!" (Thank you, Jerrold Mundis!!)

It's always good to be balanced as a team, but it's always easier to be pulling in the SAME direction. Unless, of course, it's both of you spending, LOL! I think you all are doing great, and are staying fairly focused.

Yup, you don't have as much debt as you did 2 years ago, and you have more debt now than you will 2 years from now. You're getting there!

**Note-this 'pep talk' was just as much for me as you! ROFL!!
