question on credit bureaus

Hi, Danni and everyone. I have a question on credit bureaus and scores. There is a new law going into effect that you can have your credit checked for free yearly. Anyway, I was told to check all three credit bureaus to see if there are any instances of errors, differences, etc. Let's say that someone (bank, auto loan people, refinance co., etc) decide to check your credit score. Then, you as a consumer, want to check it at least quarterly. Does that go against you if you decide to check it often, when other companies are going to do the same? Thanks. Just wondering. Whiz.

My understanding is that there is no affect to your credit score when you check your own credit.
Hope that helps.
