Ever have buyers remorse

Ever have buyers remorse for an item paid with by adding to your debt? Mine is the vacation we just took to Mexico. The resort was not as nice as it was 6 years ago. The return flights were delayed and cancelled causing us added bills for pet care and daughters daycare since we got home a day late. And the kicker my husband and I came home with parasites and have spent nearly $300 on copays, prescriptions, and hubby just had to have an ultrasound.
Anyone else have an item that you could kick yourself for buying or doing?

All the time!
A friend of mine sells Mary Kay...I order at least every other month, and that stuff is NOT cheap!!! Except for a few select items, I've usually been disappointed (not that it's poor quality; I'm just not much of a 'makeup counter' kind of girl, and am just as happy with brands you can get in a drugstore). Also, it seems like every time I place an order where I am going to be scrounging to 'afford' it, Murphy comes along with some 'surprise' expense...
Gifts...I could write a whole chapter on my dysfunctional gift-giving behavior...
Items for new hobbies/sports (our $400 snowshoes sit unused in the closet)...
Books (I justify by buying used; it still adds up and I will charge them when in the mood) and magazines, which just clutter the house...
I am one of those people who nickel-and-dimes myself to death...big ticket items are far and few between; it's those everyday want-it-now kind of things that kill my budget and make me regret leaving the house with money OR plastic!!!
we have bought DVDs that we couldn't really afford. Instead of watching those we have over and over. I have bought fabric for 75 euros about 3 months back... didn't need that one either. And I feel especially bad when we go out to eat although we now down-sized to Fast Food but we can't afford that either. I hate living like this. I hate it and I want to be out of debt. I want to go down-town and buy me a nice skirt every now and then without having to feel guilty. Right now, I need medical stockings really bad, cause I have water in my feet, but there is a copay of 17 euros on them and I have not the money for it. I'm also thinking about cancelling my massages, that would drain the water, because that too costs 31 Euros and I need a new prescription, but there is a new quarter and the doctor's visit ist 10 Euros before I even get the prescription. I just don't have it. Thank God my husband is good on his meds for the next 3 months. Hopefully it looks better then. And then I think about all the money we so stupidly spent, which we could have put toward getting all these health things done. I hate it, I really do.

Ah, regret... that's is something I have been trying to give up.I am trying not to look back, only forward, but that's harder than it sounds! here are my purchase regrets:
1. toys for my daughter: I have discovered that she loves yard saling as much as i do! I cringe now when she asks for a new toy in the store. I am even thinking of putting some things away for christmas now. (she is three and she won't notice that they aren't brand new yet!)
2. clothes for my daughter : I refuse to pay retail for her clothes, at least until she starts school and may be embarrassed by not having brand new! the past 3 seasons I have bought all flea market, consignment shop and yard sale clothing and you won't believe how many compliments i get on how nice she looks.
3. books - i love books, but i am trying not to pay full price for them now. I have a bj's membership where i can get a great discount or I buy used.
4. magazines - don't buy any that I can get at the library! i may have to wait a week, but big deal!

I used to buy makeup at the makeup counters and books at the bookstore all the time because it was "fun" and I "needed" and "deserved" those items.
I never put eating out on a credit card. But we put other big ticket items, home repair, fourwheelers, lawn mowers, vacations and that type of stuff on credit cards. If we did not waste money eating out we could have paid cash for all these items.
But at one point when I actually did figure out how much we spent eating out all the time (at least one meal a day, sometimes 2) it was somewhere between $900 -$1100 per month. CRAZY!! I would love to have the money we wasted for so many years eating out all the time.
I wish we could go back to those days of having money... We had a smaller mortgage, I worked full time, and my husband made twice the amount of money. We were also kid free. Not that I would trade her for all the money in the world.
Winning the lotto, even a small lotto would be nice. I know now I am dreaming.

Whoa! That is alot. Not that I'm too much better......I know we've spent $100-$200/mo sometimes on pizza, etc. Eeewww....just artery clogging crap basically. I know how you feel about wishing you had it all back. What kills me is that I'll be out and want something that costs, say, $25 (specifically I saw a toss pillow for my bed at Target that I really wanted) but just thought it was "too much" and didn't want to spend it. BUT, then I don't think twice really about spending $20 at McDonalds, etc. Grrr....I don't know why I do that. I just swore off eating out for a month. Let's see if I can (well, I know I can) or let's see if I WILL.
We still eat out but we already included $50 in our budget. So if we are really thrifty we can eat out twice.

OMG yes! I have had a few things that added to debt that I wished we wouldn't have bought when we did. The biggest thing was me buying our Blazer in 2002. My dh was overseas and I just had to check out some vehicles at one of the local car lots b/c they were having the 0% interest deals and ended up getting it. I paid way more than what we should have. We refinanced it last year so even though we've owned it for 3 yrs now we are still upside in our payments, by a little. Also we bought a new TV earlier in the year b/c it was "on sale" and of course HAD to buy a new entertainment center. While I love these items we could have waited and bought them all with our tax refund. Stupid decisions definitely! And I feel bad for each and everyone one of them, but what can you do now! Gotta get them paid off!
