Finally able to breath!

It's Friday morning. After a week long family battle with a horrible stomach bug that hit my husband so hard he had to call in on his second day at a new job, I think I'll breath again. I sat down this morning and got caught up on most of our bills, balanced the checkbook, cant tell you how long its been since that's been done and feel like I am regaining control.
We are a long way off from being debt free, but I think staying on top of the monthly payments a little better and downsizing might help us a lot in the coming months as we face my husband's pay cut due to the job change. We have been military and it was either reenlist for find a civilian job. With 2 small boys that adore daddy we decided getting out of the military was best.
Anyway sorry to babble. You all here on this board have been such a source of inspiration and have helped me feel that we are not alone just trying to survive.
Thanks so much.

Good for you! To feel in control of *anything* is always a great feeling!
This board is great for keeping us all from feeling like the Lone Ranger, I think.
Staying on top of things is absolutely going to help you get out of debt. When you know what things are coming up, it's easier to plan for them than to say, "Where's the money going to come from?"
Keep up the awesome work!
