Just wondering if anyone knows where I can get/download a free copy of Quicken. I'd like to start using it for budgeting, but can't really afford to buy a copy. I had an old (2002) copy that I'd never used, but Intuit has "retired" it so I can't use it to download info from my bank, ccards, etc.

Thanks,
Melissa

I don't know of where you can get or download a free copy, but you might want to check yardsales or the bargin bins at software/electronics stores for out of date copies. Since Quicken 2005 has come out you may be able to find the 2004 version cheaply. I am using the 2004 version and looked at the 2005 version, but it didn't seem like they made that many changes except for being able to download more info straight from banks' systems and I don't do that anyway so it didn't make sense for me to buy that version.

You can still download from banks using the 2004 version, it just seems that the 2005 version made it easier for some reason.
