I wanna cry!!!

I am very unhappy right now. I just found out that the conference my dh and I have been planning to attend in NY since March might get cancelled due to low turnout. It is in less than three weeks. We already bought plane tickets. We have already paid for my brother to fly out here. The $900 will be refunded but WAH! I am so upset right now. We needed this...for our daughter. Heather

All my best,

I don't know that we would go just for the heck of it. We still need to rent a car and pay for a hotel. We certainly wouldn't be planning a vacation right now... I think we would probably just try to limit our losses so that we can go at another time if it gets rescheduled. Else we would spend another $600 just to have a good time. I'm just hoping that it all falls into place on way or another. Heather
For the past several years, i have felt pretty much solely responsible for making the decision regardin Audrey's therapy..which will affect her entire life. I really needed this to get my dh the knowledge so that we are really in this together. I am really bummed, but it is not officially cancelled, so I am just going to pray that it doesn't happen. I feel like I am in a pressure cooker...working third shift and then trying to be super mom. I think my priorities are in the right order, but I need to be able to loosen the reins sometimes, too. When I ws sick, the sh#t really hit the fan..things fell apart. That is why no matter what it takes, we are going to have to find a way to get dh on the same page one way or another. Thanks so much for listening, Danni. Heather
If it DOES end up cancelled...(and I pray for you it doesnt), DO make sure you call the airlines asap and explain the situation and that you will have to attend a conference at a later date, dont know times or locations yet, but was wondering what to do with the ticket.
They may issue you a credit for the tickets to use in the future...realistically maybe for the normal $25-$75 rescheduling fee.... so that at least you're not out the money. Even if the ticket was "nontransferable nonreimbursable" they may be willing to work with you considering the circumstances.
(Plus...with gas prices increasing...You might end up SAVING money on the ticket later on. :D )
My thoughts are with you that the conference is held, though.
