Whoohoo, can I get an "amen" up in here?

I usually lurk and love this board--I've posted maybe once or twice don't really remember but I had to share my grrrr...reat news! I still have about $200 more to pay my Dr's. (I'm expecting to pay this during Sept.)These were for misc things I've had done--nothing ongoing thankfully.

I think there should be a 'celebrations' or 'milestones' folder on this board--I don't think I'd be using it too often but I'm seeing some light right now......;)

Thanks.

Prayers and Peace to the Gulf Coast. Amen.

How about a gold star? Wow! Good for you. It's always nice to realize that the light you're seeing isn't another train, LOL.

Congratulations!

Hi, gollygeez! Congrats to you and many high-fives. Have a dessert on me. How did you do it? I have a TON of medical bills coming in, from the ER, from the tests, docs, and more to come. What did you pay each month? I mean, mine are in the thousands right now. It is a daunting task, and I applaud you for getting out from under that. Whiz.

Wow, mine weren't quite that high--about $1000ish but I can relate to just owing them money though. I just paid $100/mo for awhile and finally this month I was able to get them paid with the exception of $200 which I plan to pay off next week. We had an "extra" paycheck this month so I bit the bullet and decided to get rid of whatever I could. It's those stupid piddly ones that make me nuts--the $25 here, $12.50 there, etc. I've actually found that the hospitals are the easiest type of creditors to work with provided you somewhat follow through on what you agreed to pay them per month. I missed one or two months here or there but still they didn't harass me or anything. I know that after awhile they will send you into collections but only if you aren't sending them anything. I just called my hospital and said I needed to set up a payment plan and she said, "ok, how much can you send us" so I think they are willing to work out payment options. I think if I had to call to reconfigure my payment plan that they'd have been ok with that too so long as I paid them the agreed amount. Good luck with yours I know it seems like I've had mine FOREVER!!
