It's been a while since I've been here. I'm back down to the bottom of the barrel, so to speak. (((((((((((((HELP)))))))))))))) What are some good books on financial freedom, help, management, etc. I hear Dave Ramsey is good. But have you guys had any luck with any?

We just filed Chapter 7 bankruptcy, but still having a heck of a time managing things. Just can't seem to get back on our feet. Of course, my impulsiveness doesn't help. I'm doing better, but like most of you, I have my moments.

For overall financial advice-

Bach (I think it's David) he writes the finish rich series as in Smart Couples Finish Rich
Dave Ramsey
Suze Orman
Mary Hunt

For a Christian perspective-
Larry Burkett

For cutting living expenses-
Amy Dacyzen
Jonni McCoy

For cooking-
Frozen Assets (freeze ahead meals)
Not Just Beans (general inexpensive meals)

These are some of my sources for inspiration. Tracy McBride also has written several books on living well inexpensively. I don't care for her style as much but they are interesting.

Hi,Taylena! A big hug to you from me for finally putting a list together of debt books! I needed this sooo much. Have you ever heard of a book called "Simplify your life?" or something about downsizing your life? Icannot remember the author, but it was a woman who wrote it. NO, it is not about joining a convent or quitting job, but it really hit the point about how everyone tries to keep up with everyone else, and not having "stuff". WHiz.
