I hate credit cards!

Every time I think I'm making progress, someone kicks me. I actually got to send extra to a couple of cards this month. I had a card that was $70 over the limit and I sent them a payment of $100. Unfortunately, it arrived past the time limit for the day due, so they charged me a $29 overlimit fee and a $29 late fee. My balance only went down $30, which makes it still over the limit, so I will get another overlimit fee of $29 for this billing cycle. Another card still has not gotten my payment (mailed over a week ago), when I mailed all the bills the same day and it was due today. I called both cards and the first won't waive any of the fees and was very rude on the phone, the other lady was very understanding about the payment not posting yet, and said she would make a note, but I will still probably get a late fee. And I paid $20 over the minimum on that one. The first card (with all the fees) is a very low limit card with a $59 annual fee, so I'm thinking about closing it, but I have had it about 5 years, so I hate to do that. It's stupid to pay that fee for a low limit card, especially when they are so rude! Ex is behind on child support, overtime is dwindling at work, and I'm so frazzled I feel like just sitting and crying. I can't win.

Is there any way you would be willing to switch to making your payments online? this saves so much of the hassle and you get instant proof that the payment was received. I was resistant at first, but now I wouldn't do it any other way. The only bills I still mail in are the utilities. Just a thought that might spare you a few bucks down the road,
