So I am at work today and the receptionist tells me that I have a phone call. I answer my phone and guess who it is? A wonderful representatitive from Capital One. He verify's my name and says, "I don't know why I am calling you but you account is in collections. You are not overlimit and I can see you have made timely payments. It will take 3-5 days for your account to get out of collections so you might receive a few more phone calls." I said, "Could you please not call me at work anymore?" He said that they would take off my work number as a contact. UGGHHH! I have been busting my hump for almost a year (ok 8 months) to get this card paid off.
A little backround info for you.. The account was a charge off ($900) but I worked out a deal with them to reinstate my card and I would make $85.00 a month payments until my balance was gone. Then they would reinstate me with a $300 limit.
I only have 2 more payments left to pay on the card. Now I have to go buy my credit reports to make sure that there is no negative feedback from their little mishap. I am so mad. I think it stings even worse because DH and I have been working so hard to get our credit cleaned up and then the Stupid CC Company screws up and next thing you know I am in collections... Happy Happy Friday!!!!(uggh) This weekend better go better with my garage sale tomorrow.

Isn't it against the law for them to call you at work??? What a pain in the butt!! Did you already get your credit report this year? If not you can go to

It is not a gimmick to get you to buy something. I just did it in September and for $5.00 you can get your score (I know this is true for Experian. I did not check on the other too).
Good luck I hope it gets worked out.
