Payday can't get here fast enough

I have $22 left for the week, which is better than last week when I had $.86.
I have 3/4 tank of gas.
We have plenty of groceries (except popcorn).
I'm going to mail a wedding gift today, I'll mail it the cheapest way instead of overnight, even though they were married on Oct. 8 .
I got two new bills yesterday, $86 and $286, for previous excise tax and present car insurance.

Same here on the three-paycheck month! Ours is in December also. I was so excited about it until MBNA sent me a notice saying they're raising my minimum payment from 1% of the balance to 5% of my balance, starting with the December bill. :-D But that's ok. That's where my extra money was likely going to be targeted anyway. I've been trying to purchase holiday gifts here and there over the last few months to avoid having to make big purchases in December when the stores are crowded and crazy. So now I'm down to my son (gifts from Santa) and my husband, who wants a Power Tool that costs $99. I've looked over my budget, and I think I can purchase for both of them between the next three paychecks (last October one and the two November ones). That will leave all extra money in December for debt reduction. Whew...that will be a change. Debt reduction in a holiday month?? Wow....a first for me! LOL! :-D

I hear ya! My DH gets paid weekly, and though in theory it sounds great, it isn't because it's always in the back of your mind that we can "make it up" next week, so it gets us into trouble sometimes. We've got just enough to squeak through this week, too, and DD came home with a permission slip for a field trip that is only $9, but we were SO hesitant to part with it!
Have also been doing some shopping for the holidays. Getting a LOT of stuff on clearance, some as low as .97! I am constantly checking the clearance bins for little things that will eventually add up to a nice load of stuff for someone! My luckiest find recently was this alarm clock thingy that you can dock your iPod into, it charges it, and has external speakers so you can use it for a "stereo". Wanted it for 15 yo DD, but it was $99...then the 20% off coupon came for the store that had it, and I raced over there to save my $20!
And don't worry about sending the wedding gift late...you're still ok with the time frame! If the couple has, according to Emily Post, one year to send out the thank-you notes, then it's perfectly acceptable to take one year to send the gift!
