Those ads for the no late fee deals

It makes me so mad that Citibank is running those "no late fee" ads and making it sound like it's such a good plan. I just found this link http://www.komotv.com/stories/39903.htm where it tells you that although you don't have a late fee your interest can jump to 30%!!! 30% ~ can you believe that? I think they should have to verbally announce that in their ads instead of in some tiny unreadable print that flashes on the screen for two point two seconds.
All of us seasoned debtors know better and know to look for the fine print and the catch yet think of all those people who don't.
Just had to vent about this,
Tamara

Even though I have requested to stop receiving credit card offers in the mail, I still get a few of them each month, and I laugh when I look at those also. They have the big 0% Interest print on the outside of the envelope, and it looks GREAT. But then you open it up, and find out that it's only an introductory offer, and the actual rate is between 12 and 16%. Wonder how many new applicants they'd get if they put "16% Interest" on the outside of the envelope in bold print.... :-D
Pat :-D
Excellent point about opting out of receiving all of these ridiculous offers by mail.
All my best,
