I called CCCS today so that maybe they could help me get my credit card situation under control. Has anyone else used this service and did it help you?

I currently owe:
CCB $1375.00 over limit by 375
COY $169.00
COO $253.00
Dell $0 YAY!!
VS $550.00
JCP $490.00
CH $260.00 over limit by 60

which comes up to $2857.00 My biggest concerns are the CCB and Chase card which are over their limits AND past due, so I know this is hurting my credit rating really bad. The rest of my accounts are current, thank heavens, but I've got payments up to my ears and only enough cash up to my knees!

We tried using them as well, and they told us that because we weren't in default yet, we really didn't need them. It's almost as though you have to be really deep in trouble before anyone starts to help. I was hoping they would help us before we got in serious trouble. We were told to cut some costs in other areas first. Have you tried that? I know one place we were able to really cut expenses is groceries. We were spending over 800 a month for four people. When we called CCCS they told us that our budget should be at 400 and we could take the savings and apply them to credit cards...which is what we've been doing, but they are still killing us. I have two cc's maxed out and dh has two maxed out. I think we have a total of 30K in just cc's. Not good.

I have not dealt with an CCS services but I just have to say I LOVE your saying of

"I've got payments up to my ears and only enough cash up to my knees" - I'm going to borrow that if it's OK.

Have you tried calling Chase and the other one and seeing if they can work out a payment plan to get you caught up in a few months but reduce some of the fees?
