It all seems to hit at once....

I swear I will do a better job next year of budgeting these items out throughout the year but boy do I feel hit by expenses right now.....
1st-DH charged 250 for membership to his professional organization
2nd-Insurance may not cover DS's stitches that's another 200
3rd-Property taxes I don't know why I screw this one up. Escrow covers the house but I didn't think about the cars so that's another 200 by the end of Dec.
4th-Car needs new tires. We drive a VW station wagon which somehow means we need 300 tires.
That's a whopping 950 that I didn't have budgeted anywhere...I do have 2 more paychecks from work that will be about 500 each but 1 was to go towards next semester's tuition and the other was for Christmas.

That is a lot to hit all at once, I agree.
Oh, man... I remember when that happened to me when we were still having a lot of trouble. I got hit with the $300 property tax (unexpectedly because I hadn't planned for it), and I literally stood over the kitchen sink and cried--no matter that my parents were visiting for the week, and I never cry in front of my parents.
They actually took pity on me and loaned us the money, but they only knew a tiny fraction of our trouble at the time--they thought it was just the $300, but it was so much more than that. Still, we were grateful for the $300 loan, which we paid gradually over the next several months.
It's SOOOO much better now that we plan (as I'm sure you can imagine, and as I'm sure you'll do next year!). I actually don't even blink when the tax bills and everything else come due, because the money's already there. It's a nice feeling. You'll get there too. :)
Blessings,
Heather
