Thats great since you don't have file taxes and stuff, but obviously I have money issues! Cash is bad for me! To make matters worst, dh and I were overdrawn, the bank will no longer let us use the debit card, even at the atm! The big issue there is I have a 15 m/o, I hate getting him out at the gas station, just to pay. But in todays world, can't leave him in the car. I work 45 minutes away, and don't get home in time to go to our bank, and I leave before its open. We need to switch banks so we don't have a local one. The cash thing, I can't do anything about that, but at least if I got a different bank, I could deposit part of the money right away. I don't really know what I am looking for, an update I guess! While I'm updating, I did the bankruptcy thing and my 341 is on the 19th, also one of my student loans got back to me, they accepted my forbearance so I don't have to pay for a year. Hopefully I hear from the other soon!

Hi, nlm04. I, too, work crazy hours and the bank is always closed when I get home, too. I finally opened up a credit union account, and I have an amount debited from my paycheck each time. I can go in there if I need to, withdraw money, and I have a debit card from them as well. It has come in handy when I needed cash and didnt want to worry about getting $$ from the checking or savings. Plus, they are open on Saturdays. Have you checked into the credit union? WHiz.

Hi, congrats on your new job. Banking can be a hassle can't it? We get paid weekly & it seems we are always trying to get to the bank...we live 15 miles away in a rural area no banks here. I use the night deposit as I never get to the bank during business hours. But in our area there are a few branches of a different bank that have branches in the grocery stores & walmart...that might be something to think about. They tend to have better hours. I hope you get a plan in place & can move forward. Good Luck
Have a nice Day!
