Well, today was a stressful day...everyone was calling me and making demands of me and my time...barely got work done....

The most interesting debt related thing was that an uncle I have called me up after 2 months to ask about going out for Thanksgiving. He wants to go to a very expensive buffet that we went to 2 years ago....last year we ate at home, and I don't think he liked it even though he acted like he did.... I was happy with it, esp. the price: $25.00...the buffet for 2 will be over $100. I never told him how much the buffet was, but he's elderly, and I am trying to be nice, and I was thinking it would not be a bad thing to say that I am not treating again this year as I have very past year. (I still wish I could just stay in bed on some holidays...but no, no one will let me stay in bed lounging....) Also, I have to take him out for his birthday and Xmas...so it gets expensive...and so I am going to tell him WE'LL GO DUTCH......and that may lead back to the $25 dinner...at least I hope it does.............if not $50 is better than $100.

Sorry, holidays are just not my thing.

I have another expensive event this week after Thanxgiving, so I feel the debt train running me down.

.............Still can't deal with Xmas. I have not had time to work it out.

I'm still overwhelmed with EVERYTHING.

I need to get some papaerwork done tonight, so I guess that is it for now.........

Have a good evening! Littlesbigs

Littles, it sounds like you are kinda down right now. I'm sorry you are going through a rough spell. I agree with Danni, maybe cooking a meal at home might be just the ticket. I don't know if you enjoy cooking or not, but I think you could do it much cheaper than going out, plus you'll have leftovers!

Also, I would really like to encourage you to find some time for yourself & get a few workouts in. Working out always helps my frame of mind & its one of those things that has become a part of my lifestyle, I think we are worth it!! Just DO IT, as NIKE likes to say.
Have a good week & keep your chin up...sending hugs & good cheer your way!

I'm with Danni on this one. Being elderly, perhaps you could invite him over for a home-cooked meal, and then send him home with lots of leftovers?? He might appreciate having food he can just reheat easily without having to cook for himself. :-D

Littlebigs,
I would just get your enthusiasm up and tell your uncle how much you love preparing a nice Thanksgiving dinner at home, and how you rarely have the opportunity to cook such an elaborate spread, and then promise to make him his favorite kind of pie for dessert! I doubt he is thinking of the expense....

I know what you mean about the debt train. i just paid off my doctor bills last month, just in time for my heating expenses to double. And my youngest is sick, so I took her to the doctor today and they ran a bunch of tests including x-rays, so that will set me back some more. Sometimes it is so hard to get out from under all of it!!

Don't think about Christmas yet: ) Just breathe, littlebigs, breathe...
