Haven't I been doing good??

It's 4 weeks since I took my good resolutions, 4 weeks in a row without going shopping on Friday (it's snowing today, that helps a bit LOL) and until now, everything happens like foreseen in what I call "the masterplan" :-)

Something funny happened yesterday. I had a meeting with my boss from international. She said she was disappointed that all shops were closed when she arrived the day before because she really wanted to buy something from Donaldson (a famous belgian clothes range, very classy with small disney cartoons). My boss tells her it's ok because they have a shop near the office and she could go during the lunch break.

So off I am with her to Donaldson. I must say I have one jeans skirt from them, that I paid 125$ on a day I was not thinking. We enter the shop, she starts trying skirts, shirts, cardigans... I look at the price labels and get scared LOL. And then my eyes fall on a beautiful pull-over, blue and brown, and my boss even tells me it would look fabulous on me. All of a sudden my Visa card weights a million pounds in my bag LOL. I look at the label : 200$.
First I thought "I deserve it".
Then I thought "I have too much bill to pay this month, I'll come back in a few weeks".
Finally came the wise thought : 200$ is my budget for eating out/movies/clothes/shoes/tv cable for an entire month (assuming I don't have a ton of bills on that month) I really can't spend that on a single piece of cloth.

So we went out. She had spent 250$ for a skirt and a shirt, and I was just very proud of myself.

HI---Congrats to you on your resisting temptation, especially during shopping! You showed rational thinking. $250 for an article of clothing? Too much. I'm afraid it would get ruined. That would be $$$ down the drain (of the washing machine). Do they have those clothing outlets where you live? Designer jeans 50% off thing? WHiz.
