Everything is going up except my salary.

Well I am a little ticked off. I was supposed to have my review in October. I have not had it yet. I asked my boss yesterday when I was going to have my review. She says,"Well since we are implementing a new policy for reviews in the begining of the year, you will have your review in April. I wanted to scream. Things are so tight right now. It seems everything gets gets more and more expensive and my salary stays the same. I do not sluff off at work. I bust my hump. I have implemented new ideas that have saved the company money. I am not asking for a huge increase just a little something that way I know I am appreciated. I have been looking (not super hard) for a second job. I was hoping if I got a little raise I could hold off. Well now I am going to have to get a second job.
I just get so aggravated when I look at the bills and I look at my check and there is little to nothing left. We are slowly but surely drowning. I realize alot of it is my fault, but still for what DH and I both make we still do not have a lot. We are just scraping by.

I feel your frustration! I have the same exact problem. I've been at my job for 2 years and had a performance review a couple of months ago and still no pay increase. I also know the feeling of looking at the paycheck and realizing that every bit of it will be paid to someone else. I feel like they shouldn't even put my name in the "Pay to the Order of" line. It never goes to me! Also, our insurance costs are going up effective 1/1/06, so there's even more money gone. SO FRUSTRATING! I just have to remind myself that as I pay on my bills, they can only go down..and with time, my pay can only go up. It helps me get through the frustration.
Cheers :)

HUGS!!!! Keep doing what you are doing!!! If you keep plugging away at your debt, things WILL get better, with or without a raise or a 2nd job. :) Feel proud of yourself for being such a good employee!!!!!!
