In the store, I'm paying for them with CC but I have budgeted for the gifts and pay off the CC's at the end of each week. I like the rewards.

Our purchases were budgeted for the most part (other than a few surprises), so I made the purchases on credit (for online security) and then moved money in the same amount from our checking account to the credit card so the charge and the payment would cancel each other out. LOL! :-D

So my balance isn't going down much this month, but at least it's not going up. I feel good about that. :-D

I pay all of my bills with credit card and pay it off monthly! I like the rewards I get! I am waiting on a $100 Target gift card and a $50 Red Lobster Gift card. 2 months ago I received a $100 gift card. Definitely helped with Christmas,

I am happy to say that I went shopping for my nephews yesterday, five of them, and got out of Target for $42!

Hi, LB. Well, I have used my debit card (bank card) for a lot of the purchases, but also had to use credit card for some online purchases. Whiz.

I'm using my credit card. I'm trying to pay down and really high interest CC right now and would rather have the debt setting on a lower interest CC. Thankfully the high interest card will be paid off (Knock on wood nothing goes wrong) by the middle of next month then I'll focus on the CC I'm putting the gifts on. Thankfully I get rewards back and kept to my budget so I'll still be ahead of where I was debt wise after Christmas which is about all I can hope for during this time of year.

I set up a Christmas Club account last year and had nearly $500 for gifts. I "borrowed" $100 of that for my checking account last month so I have to use credit cards a little bit (maybe a couple hundred dollarts) but NOTHING like years past! Unfortunately it is not only Christmas in our house that hurts. Two of my kids have birthdays (including one today!) in December and we also have to pay a bucketload of extra money for childcare/day camps for the two weeks school is out. Still, I have managed to not dip into the $1,300 I now have in my personal savings account. So for that I am happy.

I got a Christmas bonus of one week's pay! I'll be able to fund Christmas spending with that and buy the extra groceries as well as replace my dead home computer.

I love unexpected $$. I was hoping, but couldn't count on it. Plus, Dec. is a 5 friday (my company is in construction--we pay weekly) month. That helps too.
