money/debt management software?

Hi everyone! I was just wondering what kind of money and/or debt management software everyone out there uses. Right now I don't use anything except my paper and pencil to figure out how much money I can snowflake, etc, and I am interested in getting more "high tech" about things. I do pay all of my bills through online payments, by going to each account online and initiating payments seperately. Then I take note of how much I paid and wait for the transaction to register on my bank account, which I also check via computer. My mother suggested microsoft money as a good program for organizing finances, does it also have any tools for tracking debt and helping to reduce it? I don't have that program on my computer so I would have to purchase it, is it worth it? What software, if any, do you recommend?

Hi there - I'm pretty sure it's 6 to one, half dozen to the other.

All my best,

I've used both and like Quicken best. I never did figure out exactly how to use Money. But that may be me not spending enough time with it. I do think Quicken is a little more user friendly though.

I do use a mix of it to track my spending, savings and debt and Excel for planning purposes. I do like the reporting out of Quicken although I just got it set up and it's nice to be able to push a single button and have my accounts update or atleast most of them. But I assume you can do the same thing with Money.

We use Quicken. We have it set up so we can download all our account information from our normal bank and investments. I like knowing that I have all my account information balanced down to the penny. :-D
