Focusing on the positives :-D

Does anyone else do this? Rather than focusing on the actual amount of debt I have, I get obsessed over each "step down" that I'm making. For example tonight, I checked my credit card account online to see that my last payment had been received. It had, and it showed my balance at $9362. In years past, I would have said, "Oh my gosh...it's over 9k!", but instead I got a big smile and said to myself, "Wow....I'm only $363 away from being back in the 8000's again!" LOL! Then I went to my written budget and started looking at further ways to cut back just to reach that goal of seeing an "8" at the beginning of my balance. It doesn't matter if it's 8999...as long as it's an 8! :-D

Anyone else? :-D

I'm the same way. It's very exciting when I see a digit drop from the front of my debt. I'm at $40K right now with my total debt. After January it's actually going to drop into the $30's I can't wait. It's almost as exciting as when I pay off a debt.

I do the same thing....the CC I'm focused on paying off is at 6011 right now and as soon as the payment shows up it will be in the 5000's I'm so excited!
