Good news but a financial disaster

I have found a new place to live. That was on my priorities list for this year because I am really too unhappy and miserable where I am right now, so for my well-being, moving is a necessary thing.
But on the budget level, this is going to be a disaster. Transport for my stuff from one place to the other will cost me around 1000$. No need to say I don't have that money - my mom is going to give me that money but I have to pay it back this year so this is 1000$ added to my debt :-(
I spent the morning working on my spreadsheets and making calculations. It is going to be a hard year if I want to pay off all my debt this year (2500$ to which I'll have to add those 1000$). As my dad would say, "life is not about buying clothes and dvd's". I guess I'm a grown up now...

HUGS! It is frustrating how expensive it can be to move! Are you positive there isn't any less expensive way? Do you have a friend with a truck who could help you for a few bucks? Have you gone through all of your belongings and gotten rid of things you no longer have use for?
It is awesome that you are going to try to pay off all of your debt in one year! Just be sure that you still have enough $$$ to LIVE on in the meantime!! :)
Good luck!

1 Grand to move? Sheesh.
I have always maintained the mantra - "Always keep good relations with ex-boyfriends... who have vehicles." I've only had to pay for a move once and that's because the ex with the truck moved to BC *LOL*.
That being said -- it's time to call in the favours. Friends and relatives with cars. That way you can get all the smaller items over. Then you can rent a smaller truck, which will cost less. By the time I had showed up with the truck at my last move, my friends had put the bulk of my stuff away.
Best of luck, sweetie!
