Cautiously good news? Maybe?

Our central A/C went Kaput in Late August or early Sept. last year. We were unable then and so far now to replace it. We live in the midwest, so summers get horribly hot and humid.
I just read information in our flexible medical plan saying that air conditioning units are a reimbursable expense IF MEDICALLY NECESSARY. There are hoops to jump through (a strongly worded doctors statement that it is medically necessary) and a letter from a 'knowledgable source" that it won't add value to the home (I guess it shouldn't.....it HAD central air, just went out--therefore not ADDING anything new to the home). My son and I suffer terribly from allergies----we had a special filter installed to help out before the unit went out----so with the help of our doctor, hopefully HOPEFULLY this huge expense can be submitted under our flexible medical plan and PAID FOR...............
Keep positive thoughts!

Wow Shelly -
All my best,
Danni
Wishing you lots of luck with this. I have allergies/asthma, and I don't know what I'd do without my A/C.
