Wow, I am impressed! I will probably also go out and buy it based on such incredible feedback. I think our bank offers some kind of coupon, too. The only thing I worry about is there are a couple complicated things in our taxes this year: we raided an account so there will be tax penalty (i know, I know) and I am writing a free lance travel piece for our trip to Italy and I know our accountant used to write off all plane and lodging costs when I did that in the past. I was also hoping to write off the cost of a laptop since I got it for when I work on the road. I guess Turbo-Tax will show me how to do those things, right?

I can't believe H & R Block sold your personal information. That is crummy if not a huge invasion of privacy! Anyway, thanks for the encouragement. I'll give it a try.

I use Turbo Tax online. You can completely go through the entire refund to see how much you will get back without paying a dime. Then you only pay right before you submit.

I understand your complicated taxes. I cashed out my Roth IRA last year and had no problem filing with turbo tax. The questions walk through every possible situation that can possibly come up. When you load the program (if you buy it in the store) or download it (if you do it online) then turbo tax will look for updates to the IRS code for you. It will even tell you whether you want to itemize or take the standard deductions. It really is an amazing program. I do know that it also works well with home based businesses. I had one when I first started using it and it made filing so easy. It even came up with the proper code to file for my business. It fills out all of the schedules for you.

The only thing you have to watch is to answer the questions honestly and to put the right info in. For example make sure all of the social security numbers are correct. Make sure to include all of your income. What is really good though is it will ask you to break out all of your W2s and add it up for you (not a problem for me since I am a SAHM).

I'm sorry. I just can't say enough good things about it.
