I've figured out that one of the benefits of not spending is not having to enter as much data into my Quicken program. LOL! Balancing my checkbook is much much easier too. Instead of having four pages of transactions to review, I only end up with one page. That's definitely motivation for me to control my spending. :-D

I hear you. I don't like having to sit down and enter everything. But, it does make reconciling the check book much easier. I don't even remember how to reconcile with a pen and paper. The only thing that is really hard is if you are one or two cents off, having to go through all of the transactions trying to find it. Something about all of those numbers being on a computer screen makes them all blend together. LOL.

Good luck,
Kellie

Its the little things in life, isn't it?? I have noticed the same thing...in fact, it was part of what caused me to go to a cash system for a few months. Anyhow, I have flubbed up a little, but I'm looking forward to getting back to carrying cash. I actually thought it would benefit me to use my Disney visa for everything since we are probably going to disney world in May or June...so I could save the Disney points, but HA! first of all, it takes forever to accrue, so it seems it may not be worth it afterall. I can't wait unti February!!! Heather

I agree with the Disney - it's a catch all - we did end up with $200 for spending money on our trip but it really has crappy interest rate with the TWO cycle billing which is a double whammy for you.

The only nice thing was we were able to put our package deal on it at 0% interest PLUS we got the bonus of points for it.

You are right, Becky,
The interest rate is really crappy on the Disney card. I will definitely take advantage of the six months no interest, but i think I will officially abandon using it ofr other purchase...the card had like a $250 balance and i paid $5.03 in interest last month (at 14% var) Sheesh...i got like 3 points for $5.00 ....sounds like a ripoff to me
