I was contacted by a collection agency a while ago regarding my credit card debt. I made arrangements with them by phone to make payments, HOWEVER, before I did that I mailed a letter asking for "Account Validation" for the debt. You just never know what you can get in the mail...
Anyway, I made arrangements AFTER sending the letter and made two payments (November & December) which were directly eft'd out of my checking account.
My question is that I have NOT heard from the company again!!! Does that have to do with the time frame that they are legally allowed to contact me after a request for validation?
If any of you remember, this is the company that the girl stated "I can accept those payment arrangements for a couple of months, but we have to come to an arrangement to pay it off sooner because we are not allowed to CARRY accounts over..." I can't remember the specific time frame, something like 6 or 9 months. The debt is $4500.00 and I made arrangements to pay $200 per months and that I would review with her periodically.
Well, since I haven't heard from her, WHAT DO I DO!?!?!?!
HELP!!!!

Hi Nini - you may want to post your question on the Debt Q&A Board.
