State Farm is dropping me!!

I have a PERFECT driving record and PERFECT credit report.
However, my husband does not have either. His driving record is filled with speeding tickets, failure to signal, etc. His credit report is a mess (mostly NOT his fault, but still a mess WE have to deal with).
After we married (nearly 2 years ago) State Farm sent me a notice that they were dropping me. We went in and spoke with my agent, who worked for us to keep me insured through them. DH had to promise not to drive my car til his driving record improved. Well, he drove the car, got into a minor fender-bender, and now we got a notice that they are dropping me.
I do not intend to bother the agent this time. :(
However, DH has our other vehicle insured through Progressive, so we are planning on switching to them, so we can get the multi-car discount, and only 1 payment. But it is going to be $10-20/month MORE than we pay now... AND I still have to get renters insurance (which I currently have through State Farm) - so another $10/month for that!!
I am soooo upset w/ DH, but what can I say? I have "nagged" enough about his driving habits, and told him NOT to drive "my" car. He doesn't listen.
I hate having such a great past, and still dealing with this crap because of DH's bad past. :( He is a wonderful man, don't get me wrong. LOVE HIM LOVE HIM LOVE HIM :-) But it is difficult paying for someone else's mistakes. :(
Thanks for listening.

When I was with GEICO, I was able to get Auto and Renters though them (actually they send the policy to The Travelers group, or at least they did)so maybe you can get a discount having it all there. Maybe Progressive does the same thing...
Good Luck,
Colleen
Colleen, I will look into Geico. Progressive does not offer renters insurance, we already asked. But I suppose it wouldn't hurt to look into a different company.
Thank you!
