I spent too much!

Well, I've been trying to save money, but spent too much. Well, at least a majority was necessary, but I'm trying. Not as hard as I should, but I guess that's better than nothing. I got a bigger check this week, cause we had Christmas and New Years holiday pay on it, I work in a nursing home so I work e/o weekend. ANyway, I paid the rest of the rent, my car ins, then $150 on groceries. I'm trying to cut things, but its hard. I'm a single parent of twin teens, one of whom works part time. I have a hard time convincing him to help, even his older brother & sister get on his case. I have housing assistance and the kids have medicaid for ins. but I dont qualify for food stamps, based on my last review: "Income exceeds guidelines". So I'm on my own. I"ve been getting $150 in child support but its month to month. Cant count on the kids dad (1st ex)
I do have cable, mainly cause I cant get any TV reception with bunny ears. I've been waiting to file taxes as soon as W-2's come in but I have to get another car with that. Been driving my 2nd ex's truck, but it needs a lot of work, and he may be giving it to his son. But as for now, I can use it as long as I need to. I think I can catch up on everything and keep up once those taxes come in but its just a waiting game til then.
MY bills include a dentist bill that was left after my ins paid, and a couple other oddball bills. I'm thinking my total debt is under $1000, but I'm just going week to week, paying a little here & a little there.
Well, I mainly wanted to vent, so thanks for listening, and I hope I get out of this soon. Oh yes....and as soon as I know whether or not the taxes will help me catch up I do plan on getting a 2nd part time job.
