~*~*~ The Money Fairy ~*~*~ has paid you a visit. She agrees to give you a gift of $50 if you PROMISE to spend it on yourself and NOT BILLS (debt included!).

What would you do, FOR YOURSELF, with the money?

Hello,

Thank you money fairy! I would go out to eat at Fogo de Chao, which is our favorite brazilian restaurant. The price of two meals at Fogo is $50! It's one of those restaurants where they cook different kinds of meat and bring them out on skewers constantly, letting you pick which one you'd like a small slice from. It's great! That, and it doesn't break my husband's Atkins diet, since only the side items (and bread) are not low carb. We ask that the side items not be brought to us. They do bring fresh bread rolls, but we usually cover the basket with a napkin. If we don't empty the basket, they won't bring us more. =)

MMMM.. Fogo De Chao!

Sincerely,
Lindsey Schocke

Lindsey, that sounds yummy!

I think I would go crazy in a teacher's supply store! ha ha I homeschool my son (almost 6 years old) and never get to spend money on curriculum/supplies/etc. I would buy books and workbooks and games............... oh my! :-)

I know *exactly* what I would do.... a Hot Rock MASSAGE at my favorite Spa in Austin. The rooms are quiet, candlelit with soft music playing. No talking, no television, no worries, no bills. Ahhhh. Thank you Money Fairy!!!!!

PEDICURE! I'd also like a decent haircut. I had a baby exactly three months ago today and my hair is reaching that point where it starts getting postpartum yucky! The good news is that after three darling little boys I finally got a little girl with a huge head of hair!...past her shoulders at three months! I'm going to have so much fun. Thank you money fairy!

A hair cut and color would be nice, too...... I have short hair and am growing it out long again.... it is in an in-between stage that isn't too pretty right now! A trim and some highlights.....yep, that would be nice!

Wow, ya know, it's been so long since I've done something special for myself, especially to the tune of $50, that I had trouble trying to come up with something. LOL!

I think I would treat myself to a nice quiet meal in a restaurant, alone, to avoid having to deal with spilled drinks and fussiness (can you tell I'm a Mom? :-D), and then go to a movie by myself (one that isn't animated :-D), and then I would take the remainder of the money and go to a local bookstore and shop for some books with the rest. :-D Maybe some pretty journal books or something. :-D

I have to say, my first reaction would be, "Cool! There really IS a Money Fairy!!!" And then...I'd be at a complete loss as to what in the world to do with it.

I wanted to say,"Buy books," but I already have a bookcase stuffed plus some overflow...I thought about clothes, but I hate clothes shopping...I thought about buying either movie tickets or renting lots of movies, but I have 2 weeks of freedom left before winter term starts and I'm back in school until mid-May...

Wow. I'm really having a hard time *spending* this money. I'd better figure something out, or the Money Fairy will just skip over my house!
