Hi all- just my 2nd post...my intro is in the Roll Call thread. :)

I do not have all my documents yet but the ones I have are in one place right where I know where they are. I am embarrased to admit that I didn't file my taxes last year until August because I kept procrastinating. A big symptom of my general casual attitude about finances in the past couple of years. I am expecting a refund again this year. This year I'm playing 'beat the clock' on a 0% 3/31 expiration so I need to get them cranked out as soon as I get the rest of the paperwork. In the meantime, I am going to commit to doing 30 min on Sunday to start gathering my business expenses so those are getting ready.

Hi, Danni--Well, we always end up paying taxes. Last year, it wasnt as much, because I am socking away $$$ in the IRA (not the max) and the TSA. Havent even started doing anything with folders, etc. yet. Anyone know the max on medical bill deductions? 15% of income? 10% of income? Thanks whiz.

I am waiting for my work to send me the T-4 slips as I already received those for my RRSP contributions. I contributed a lot last year so that will help me to get back a decent refund.
I prefer to receive the refund in one chunk, once a year...that is the only reason I enjoy filing my taxes :)))
This year will be slightly more complicated with the STBX and I having to declare to the government our new separated status...yep they don't miss a beat the feds!
