I'm been doing really well on paying down my debt and saving up money and just in general not spending anything I don't need too...

Then what do I come home to today? The cat's have gotten in a fight and one of them has torn a few claws out, yeah they were embedded in the other cat's fur. So I will have to take both of them into the vet in the morning. At least I have some money set aside. It's like two steps forward, one step back.

I really didn't need anymore stress in my life then this happens. God only knows how much this going to cost me.

And these cats are like my kids. I just don't know what I'd do if something happened to one of them. : - (

HUGS!

I know how you feel! Two of our bunnies got into a fight this weekend, and DH is threatening to get rid of one of them!! :( They are my babies!!!!! Fortunately they haven't hurt each other enough to take them to the vet.

Glad you have some money saved up! That is why it is so important not to be BARELY making it! Imagine how crazy life would be if we only made just enough money to get by, then something like this happened! YIKES!

Good luck, girl!!

Well I took the cats into the vet this morning. Wound up costing $42 so far for antibotics (Spelling). Gandalf is running a fever. The vet said to keep a close eye on he and Samwise to make sure that neither develop an absess. If one of them does, that will be another procedure. And the little turds are still growing at each other. No violence since yesterday though. And both of them slept with me last night so hopefully this will blow over today.

Hello,

Gandalf and Samwise? What wonderful names for your cats. You must be a Tolkien fan. Look on the bright side! You set aside that money for unexpected expenses, yes? You really couldn't have predicted that the cats would get in a fight and cost you money this week. However, you didn't *add* to your debt by charging the antibiotics, so you are still making *progress* on that goal! I know that spending any money from those hard-earned savings is like pulling teeth when you've worked hard to accumulate it, but that's what the emergency fund is there for!

*hugs*

Sincerely,
Lindsey Schocke

Wow, I posted a topic with the same subject line having to do with my cat having surgery and the cost of it... see there's always someone who can relate... ;-)
