Hi, all. Anyone have individual dental insurance you pay yourself? Individual or family plans? I cannot afford individual health insurance, but am looking into the dental plans, which might be cheaper. Any web sites for plans, i.e., Delta Dental, etc? How much do you pay out of pocket on monthly premiums? Do they cover things like root canals, braces, crowns, etc? Thanks Whiz.

We paid more for our Sam's club membership and part of that membership was a discount plan for dental. We found that was cheaper for us than being enrolled on DH's dental insurance. Last year we did both actually and they combined our insurance with the discount program but when we looked at what insurance covered on DD & I (we just needed cleanings and fillings only) we decided to not do that this year. We did not have a monthly premium.
