Congratulations on your raise and adding it immediately to your snowflake!
I'm expecting an annual bonus on Feb 17th (don't know how much yet) and a salary increase in March. I had a good performance review, so I can expect possibly a 3% raise. Since I make about 30k a year, it would be a little less than $1000 added to my gross pay. Another $80 per month or $40 per paycheck would be nice, as long as taxes doesn't eat it all up. =)
Anyway, last year I received a $2500 bonus payment, since my company made most of the expected goals. This year it will be smaller, but still appreciated!
After calculating our taxes in Turbotax online (without filing there), it looks like we'll get $11 refund from federal and $400 refund from state tax. I balanced our W-4's pretty well last year, so this is as close as I could get to zero tax due, zero refund due (my goal).
Wahoooo!!! Can you think of a no-cost way to celebrate? A nice meal at home? A long soak in the tub? Hope you can find some way to reward yourself this weekend! :-D
CONGRATS!!!!! It's things like that, which helps me get remotivated.
