DH's action....

Hi, Pam, everyone. Well, DH decided to take the job. He said I told him to. Well, yes. The writing is on the wall---uncertainty of another buyer, prior layoffs, etc. He told the boss he would take it (verbally). The hours are different (less traffic during commute) and there is more work, but also more $$$, better benefits, opportunity to work with boss and some prior co-workers again. He doesnt seem enthused, just depressed. Mopes around, no incentive to help out, although he did do dishes today! Again, thanks for the input. Putting it in black and white made the difference. WHiz.

Hi Whiz -
Personally, I really think he did the right thing. You know, the old, "bird in the hand" thing -- he can always keep looking for a different job WHILE HE IS EMPLOYED -- so if he really doesn't like it, he doesn't have to stay forever. He is probably a little depressed that the job he knows so well is ending. New things are always a little intimidating I think
Good luck to both of you.

Whiz, he probably needs time to adjust and mull it all over in his head. Give him his space...he will come around. :-)

I hope this job works out well for your family!!!!!

Hi, Danni. You know, you (and others) are right about that. Is it an ego thing? Or, sense of identity? I think it is the utter uncertainty and the constant change that is giving him fits. Appreciate your insight, as always. Am going to lay low for the next month or so. Guess there's no sense in worry about what hasnt happenened, and again, things may change. Whiz.
