Friday night - ALONE!!!

DS is with his dad for the weekend, and DH went to play poker with his buddies.

I treated myself to a coffee at a local coffee shop, while I did some studying. Then I stopped at the grocery store and picked up a pint of ice cream! :) I spent maybe five bucks total....soooo worth it!

I have needed this for way too long!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you deserve it! Glad you got some me time for yourself. Today was my day to myself also. Took a sick day (scheduled) and took care of myself today.

What is a night alone? It has been so long that I have forgotten what that is. The closest I get is when DH takes two of the three kids to their activities. I have movies to watch that I can't because I can't find time alone. I can't even take a shower without someone coming in and interuptting :-)!

I know you enjoyed yourself and $5 is a small price to spoil yourself.

Glad you had fun.

a night alone?? you mean, no children pulling at your leg? no husband asking whats for dinner? no one beating the door down while you get a shower? not even anyone demanding snacks/help in the bathroom/a movie rewinded/"where's my shoes?"

lol

I didn't mean to rub it in your faces!!! ;-)

It was heaven, definitely! Although, I spent most of my "me time" studying for college.... I did take a bubble bath, with some classical music on, a yummy-smelling candle lit, and read a book - not for school! ;-)

DH asked me last night, "So, do you want to do that again????" He just has no idea how desperately I needed that!! lol

ah, don't let my sarcasm fool ya, I'm just jealous. My three year old has developed some type of severe seperation anxiety lately. I can't even go get a shower without her having a major meltdown. Tonight she freaked out so much I just let her get in with me, again.

I know how you feel!!! I homeschool my almost-six-year-old son, do college full-time (all distance courses, so I RARELY leave the house for school), and my husband works a LOT of hours.

To top it all off, we are having car troubles, so I am under strict orders not to drive the 2nd vehicle til we get it repaired.... I barely remember what the outside of our apartment looks like anymore!!! lol

My husband thinks I'm strange that I beg to go to the grocery store alone! :) I LOVE my "job" - but I need a weekend off, too, ya know???

lol

lol You and I must be twins! ;-)

I go to school at Purdue University. I'm not going to be able to get my entire degree done online (actually, this is my first semester going totally Internet), but this semester I didn't wanna have to worry about finding someone to watch DS while I was in class.

Yeah, Bremen is an only child and I still homeschool him. He probably needs a bit more play time with other kids than he is getting right now.... But it is not as easy to arrange play dates in the winter. ugh

In the summer he gets plenty plenty plenty of interaction with other kiddos! Last summer, he took a dinosaur class w/ other 5 year olds, and took soccer lessons. We also belong to a homeschool support group. We meet once a month, and sometimes more. This month we had a show-and-tell day, so the kids got to do that, and when they were done they got to play with each other while the adults talked. It was a blast.

If you wanna have a better idea of what I do with my son, you are welcome to check out my weblog: http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/CallmeAravis/

Hey, I'm from the city where Purdue University is also! I live on the south side of Lafayette! Where do you live?

Actually, I go to the Fort Wayne campus. I live on the north side of Fort Wayne, and have actually never been to Lafayette! ha ha My husband is a student of IU, so eventually we will probably have to move to Bloomington for him to finish his degree on the main campus.

Nice to talk to a fellow Hoosier, always!! :)
