Good morning! I am not feeling well today....I think I am suffering for fried-food syndrome....I usually just don't eat fried food, but I indulged last night, and UGH....I woke up so sick, and I am just not well this morning....BUT I have to do a few things this morning no matter what, so out I go.....I really hope it is just the fried food.
I had a wonderful night watching the Olympic opening ceremonies last night on a friend's new big screen TV...we kept saying we felt like we were right there, like we could step right into the action thru the TV, but in the end, I am happy to come home to my 19 year old TV...it fits my livingroom better and I still think it had a better picture overall than the large TV.......(it's paid for!!!)
I had to give a teenage relative a bithday gift yesterday, and so I gave her $20 cash. It is the easiest gift to give...I can't afford the time and fuss and extra expense of wrapping, etc.....and who really knows what a teenager wants?????....so the cash was the best and cheapest gift!
I am starting to work on my taxes. You know, doing your income taxes is a reality check. You are forced to KNOW what your income last year was and potentially what your income this year will be. Look at that total income and ask yourself: Am I living at, below, or above this income amount? Be honest with yourself. Perhaps that thought will help some of us get more serious about making some changes, or prove to some of us that we are on the right track. You can compare the amount of income to your budget or tracked expenses to see if you can tell what percent of the actual budget went to rent, car expenses, credit card/debt interest, what part of your income is spent on debt.
I am pretty much going to break even as usual on tax refunds this time , so I have no plans for spending a refund check.
Man, I wish I had not eaten the fried food!!!!!!
Let's all have a good Saturday! Let's all do ONE thing today no mater how small to push us towards our debt-free goal!!! Go for the GOLD!!!!!!
