I keep my spare change/end-of-day pocket change in an interesting looking plastic bottle in my kitchen. It's my little coin bank. I use it to create a snowflake payment for a credit card. After the change reaches some level or the bottle is a certain weight, I turn it into the bank and make a snowflake payment. All those pennies add up. All of our money is just collections of pennies!
Well, sometimes I don't have any pocket change at the end of the day. Sometimes I do admit I use some of the change so I can have lunch at work(usually right before payday, oh my...), ........but I want to make some kind of contribution to "the cause" some days when I have no change, so I write myself a little encouraging note or a reminder about what I am trying to do to eliminate the debt, and I put it in the bank, too.......so then when I am making a snowflake payment, I am dumping out the bank, and I get little notes I forgot I wrote to cheer me on.....sometimes I really need to see them. It sound s silly, but it is a bit of self-inspiration to go on , march ahead, keep fighting the fight.
I keep a personal journal, and sometimes I will write back to myself about old entries, or even write to my future self. This is how I thought this up......sometimes I write rebuttals to myself to those old entries....sometimes I need to be reminded what it is I am trying to do, to stay on couse, and remember WHO I AM DOING THIS FOR....MYSELF!!! I AM WORTH IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Only you know what you need to hear, and you probably need to hear it from yourself. Here's a way to do that.
A message in a bottle...............From Littlesbigs

That is truly a terrific idea!
All my best,

Hi, Danni!
Yes, you know there are some things we need to tell ourselves, and we probabaly wouldn't listen to someone else for certain things.....so a little reminder that is from yourself can be a good thing. Maybe we need to put a note in our "bottles" to remind us what we were saving the money for or maybe a word of encouragement for a future date that may come just at the right time.
There are so many messages we can send ourselves.......maybe a spouse or a child or a best friend can add a note that you can look forward to getting the next time you empty your "bottle" as something to look forward to. This could be fun thing to do, too! ....and their messages can say anything.......it would be your reward the next time you make a snowflake payment or have saved for some purchase rather than pulling out the credit card....
I think it is important to get positive messages, positive reinforcement as we go thru the debt journey. We CAN give those messages to ourselves!!!
Best wishes, Littlesbigs
