Hello everyone! I posted yesterday about my car and the fact that my father ended up paying the repair bills for me. I challenged myself to put that 100 dollars that I would have spent on the car repair into my savings account and I'm really glad that I did. I wanted to try to help everyone else, I know sometimes we all need a challenge to keep us motived! So this week, if there's something you expect to buy or have to pay for and it turns out that you don't have to get it or perhaps you don't spend as much as you thought, make it a point to use that money as a snowflake to your debts or to a savings account. It can be a small one, because anything helps! This is the whole point of snowflaking anyway, but sometimes we forget, so I wanted to issue this small challenge to everyone. I hope that's ok!!!

Good luck!!!

I have already met your challange. Earlier this week I transferred $550 from savings to checking. DS needed dental work done (estimate $450), medicine for the dental work (estimate $30 co-pay) and DH needed shoe covers for when he rides his bike so his feet won't freeze (estimate $50 to $55).

Well dental work $350, medicine $27 and DH's shoe covers $38. That's $415. The dentist wanted to make sure we kept DS awake for an hour after the dental work so he asked us to take him somewhere he wouldn't feel comfortable falling asleep and to get him something soft to eat so we went out and spent $30. So, that's $445. I transferred $100 back to savings and was happy to do it.

Great way to challange us to watch what we spend.
