Waiting...

Happy Valentine's Day everyone, first of all! Dbf and I had a little celebration last night, we watched "The Notebook" (which is a great date movie BTW...we both cried our eyes out...yes, him too! lol) And we stuffed ourselves with Chinese food and Ben and Jerry's icecream. I have to admit I was a little disappointed with dbf's lack of creativity...he has NO money, very negative in his acct, so he didn't give me anything. I was hoping for at least a home-made card or a love letter but oh well. He is normally very creative and romantic but I didn't make a big deal out of it...he's working 2 jobs and just emotionally and physically drained. I took the opportunity to give him a nice relaxing evening though so that was nice and I enjoyed spending the time with him.

Anyway, the title of my post is Waiting...Does anyone else just feel like they are constantly waiting for the next paycheck, the next snowflake opportunity, etc? I hate the feeling of being powerless until whenever date to reduce my debt. It's frustrating! Not to mention that now I'm playing the waiting game with my federal tax return, and also with dbf's big 7K closing on the 28th. Things are so tough right now and it's hard knowing that this money is coming...too late to help with this month's bills though. The end of the month is always tough for me as I struggle to meet the remaining bills and also dbf's student loan. I am hoping that this closing will allow him enough money to pay last year's taxes, this year's taxes, and catch up some of his collection accts. He can pay off one of them that I know of, the balance is only 300 or so. Then there's a second closing up as well, not sure on the date on that one, but the hope is that he can get "caught up" on all the past due bills with that one and put some money into savings to help in the coming months. I am anxiously awaiting the day when he is financially stable again and can pay his own student loan. Everything else is delinquant for him but we have to keep the student loan and the cell phone current, bc he needs the cell for his job and my grandmother is the co-signer on his student loan so we will do whatever we have to to protect her credit. Everything else is months behind, but the student loan is current. lol.

So my remaining bills for the month are 145 dollars for my cell phone bill (ouch! It's usually 115 but I transferred some pictures from my cell to my computer through email...bad idea!!!) I still owe mom 50 dollars for rent plus 2/5ths of the electric bill (it hasn't come yet) which will probably be about 90 dollars for my part (not sure how that works, but ok) and Dbf's student loan...usually 180 dollars because we deferred some of the loans on financial hardship (they would not defer all of them) however I don't know when that deferment is up so it could very well be 300 dollars. AGH! Don't know where it's going to come from this month.

I can't wait to get some of these debts paid off, just because I won't have to stress about meeting the bills each month! Sorry such a long post, bored!

Hi,
I totally know what you mean. Me too. Sometimes, when I pay a cc bill, I then subtract the next month's payment so I can see what it will be just a little bit in the future -- sort of gives incentive to stick with the program! Long way to go tho -- so hang in -- we're really all in this together.
