Well, baking brownies....I have to laugh at myself. I want so badly to go out for a coffee in my favorite coffee shop, but I just DON'T have the money, so I am baking brownies here at home....I bought 5 boxes that were $1 each a couple weeks ago...MUCH cheaper than going out. I do like the smell of the chocolate filling the house. (I just have a touch of cabin fever.)

I was working on the budget just now...trying to figure out how to come up with some spending money for tomorrow's outing. I am SO BROKE!!! And then I remembered that I forgot to order medications....well, I have plenty of food in the house....I'll make it to next payday if I spend most of my ready cash. Oh, I just DO NOT want to charge anything!!!!! I'll just bring whatever cash I can "find" and that will have to be the budget. The End. (How did I forget those prescriptions? That's even LESS money I will have to spend.)

BROKE< BROKE< BROKE!!!!

I'm going to keep working those numbers.

I am home this afternoon from work, but I had a bad day anyway......I am going to work harder to find a new job.

My paycheck shrank a bit because I decided to "buy" vacation days. Isn't that SAD?????? Buying vacation days????? Those extra dollars I really miss!!!!!......as if they were really "extra??????"

Well, I sure hope those dark chocolate brownies turn out okay!

Have a great afternoon! Littlesbigs

Hey, littlebigs...
I used to have dh buy vacation days, too! It was worth it.
Anyhow, I am with you on the chocolate...i bought the stuff yesterday so i can make a chocolate pie this weekend. Not motivated to cook dinner, mind you, but pie is always good.
Keep plugging away, girl!

Thanks, Heather! It's just one day at a time...one brownie at a time! The brownies turned out okay(I used the low fat recipe!) I made it through without giving in to the urge to go out for that coffee....I'll have one at home tonight.....so $3 saved.....Whew!!!

Mmmmmmm Brownies! I'm big into baking so I stock up on choc. chips and candy pieces at the holidays, have several bags in the cabinent right now from x-mas. It's good to keep something like this on hand if you can stock up cheap, makes the lean times a little easier if you can have a treat when the craving hits :) Keep your chin up it will get better. I had to "borrow" a roll of TP from work one weekend when fiance and I had $0 money and CC's were OVER Limit. We weren't even making the minimums back then. We also got 2lb boxes of Velveeta for 99c because if was going out of the shelf date one night we had $10 left in our checking. I sent fiance to store to get bread, cheese and tomato soup and that was IT we had no more money, told him don't dare spend more than that because we don't have it. Well he got 6 lbs of Velveeta $3, a loaf of bread $1, tomato soup 2/$1 and I think he even got macaroni so I could make mac and cheese with all that Velveeta. We were sick of it by the time it was gone, but it got us through the leanest times we'd ever been through. As for that roll of TP we got paid the following Monday and the first thing I bought was TP and put a roll back in the ladies room at work. I don't think anyone would have noticed at all, but the TP I brought in was much better than the stuff I took home that weekend :)
