How have you been doing with the increased energy costs this winter? Has it affected your budget and your debt reduction plan much? Have you been doing things to conserve energy, and have they worked?

Here I pay amost 3.00 a gallon for kero and over 2.00 for propane. So my thermostat stays on 65 durning the day and 62 at night. I tell hubby he better grab a sweatshirt cause I'm not turning it up. Having cold snap here in NH right now but is going to warm up this coming week.

We've been keeping our thermostat set to 63 degrees and then wearing extra layers of clothing. Our bills have been much less than what we thought they would be. I was thinking I would get a $250 bill, but so far, my gas bills have been in the $150 range, so I'm thrilled. :-D

Today, we're having a nice Spring-like day here in North Georgia, so we have the heat off and the windows open. I even went out and mowed the lawn this afternoon! :-D Actually, I was kind of guilted into it by all my immediate neighbors out mowing their lawns. LOL! :-D

Hey, LB. Well, I found a way to keep them down. We try to keep the curtains closed and thermostat down. But the thing that has saved us is the double payments. One online. One snailmail. I pay something every two weeks when I get paid. It is such a joy to only have to pay $50 now instead of $300/month. Whiz.
