I DID NOT SPEND.

Stressed out, I did go to the mall yesterday, but I only brought home a free home decoarating catalog to remember what a clean house looks like! I admit I enjoyed the "retail therapy," but in the end, I didn't want anything except that catalog and a spritz of perfume I already have at home! Whew! I did buy groceries at the nearby grocery store, and I didn't even go crazy with that. (It seems I may have been able to go to the mall WITHOUT Cousin Bernadette! She wasn't pushing me to buy anything, and I think the debt total seemed so high right now that we both know she's not going to be going to "leave the house" anytime soon. LOL!)

Today I have to go to the craft store, and the credit card stays home. I have to do my taxes, have a nice visit with my SO, out to dinner somewhere inexpensive but nice, then I have to get ready to work all day tomorrow.

I haven't found anything much except paper paper paper in the house organization project. I am hoping to uncover something interesting this weekend when I get back to it. I am thinking there are pants that I'm going to find that need to be altered and pressed.....that would be a good find.....gotta get into the back of the closet! But, when I was at the mall, I wasn't thinking so much of the credit cards as I was that I just didn't want to add new stuff to the house yet......what would it be like to have some empty spaces for a while?

Going to take a quick nap then out I go to start errands, head to the craft store......THINK CASH TODAY! JUST CASH!!!

CASH CASH CASH, Littlesbigs

I spent the day at the mall unexpectedly. My girlfriend called this morning wondering what I was up to because her DH and DS had gone skiing and she had the day to herself. It was wonderful to have several hours of time with just the 2 of us! We had a ball. I treated for lunch (to celebrate my bonus) and I bought 2 birthday gifts. The one was a victory of sorts because I actually spent less than I had budgeted and I spent way less than I typically have in the past for a child's gift. I always seem to get carried away.

I looked at some clothes and some shoes but nothing really tripped my trigger so no spending there (even though I had some gift cards I could've used if I could've found anything I wanted). We spent the rest of the afternoon/early evening in Starbucks chatting the day away!

Other spending in the last 24 hours included getting some hardware for my new high speed internet connection. That was another $70. All is good though...I have the funds for all of it (although I am trying the 'use the credit card for rebates and pay it all off every month' thing for some of my purchases. There is around $20 dividend sitting on my Citi card that I'm trying to earn the rest I need to get the $ out of it. I have to be good though and PAY IT OFF NO MATTER WHAT! I'm confident I will).
